WT 24: Caldera City

Terrain a city built in the flaming caldera of an active volcano. Thanks to the dude that suggested this in the brainstorming thread. Sorry I forgot your name.

what exactly is a caldera? is it the center of the volcano or what?

Well Just think of this...

A flaming volcano, that's so huge that an entire city can be built on the inside of the volcano. The city is stretching from the very lava to the top of the volcano.

The caldera must be some kind of kettle like thing and therefore inside the volcano.

Here's my attempt; I seems to me that it's too repetative, but maybe it's just me or maybe I took too many screen shots of the same general area.

well its quite good but i dont think u totally understood the idea of the challenge. anyways id make it so theres a actuall volcano with the city INSIDE of it! try lowering the terrain making a large hole then placing buildings around it! and dont forget the ctrl+page up/page down buttons! anyways its pretty good other than somewhat wandering away from the whole challenge (dont take that as a offensive statement i do it all the time)

my progress on the challenge: ARG!!! I KEEP SCREWING IT UP!!!! i might not have my entry in this week due to continuous work on my current project and tryin to start the gaiascape challenge!

King you aren't the only one. I think and hope that after doing some homework today I will work a lot on my volcano and then after thursday I will work on Gaiascape which I have already begun.

Naakaloh: Reading the task in this Weekly Terraining would help and your city gave me some ideas for my own City inside a volcano. You might wanna listen to KingGigli on this one.

I might have a go at this I just need to clear my mind with some drugs... wait nevermind.

well before i do something and make a total ass outa my self i have a question: how does a large wooden bridge connecting to towns sound (the bridge is over the center of the volcano)

Ah ok, I see; I had always thought a caldera was broad and flat. I just misinterpreted it. I probably won't change it because I don't really have time.

[edit] Also, a wooden bridge would probably be fine, but it would seem a little out of place. A stone one would work better in my opinion.
