I've spent a little time on this skin now and I'm not quit sure how to approach the rest of his armor. He's ment to have bone type armor covering his body, but I can't think of how to do it. I have the chest done and part of the face, but I don't have a clue on how to make the arms or legs. I mostly colored his hair white because blond is too friendly, but it probably won't stay that way for long. The cape is a CnP before any says it, so please don't prosecute me on that. I was just bored and thought it might look cool, so it will be changed as soon as I get a better idea.

thats actually a verry good idea to make an arthas, it looks quite promusing, though your textures need work... (the bone helmet neeeds to look more like... eehm... bone... and that it sits on the face, now it looks like part of the flesh has been peeled off.. solution if to shade underneath the helmet)

allthough i would personally advice to take the arthas wil the mallet... that's more savage (yarr!)

Yeah you need to shade the flesh under that bone.. that would look kool with a mallet, though then again, with some great alphaing you could turn that into a very kool sword... hmmmmmmmm..

The bone vest is a great idea... though burn it a bit more in the gape onto the bone.. looks a bit tight for bones....

Oh! and texture it with a marble texture or something... makes it look like they have scratches, imperfections etc, like real bones...

Anyway! kool skin! Keep it up!

premade textures, dodge and burn suck ass... they ruin more on a skin then they can make up for in speed and lazyness...

premade textures make textures look fake on the model becouse they bdonht follow the lines of the skin, they go straight on. if you want to apply them well you need to distort them in ways to 'fold' them to the lines of the skin.

dodge and burn can be nice for metal sometimes, but use it on color and say byebye tou your perty colors... :(

I think the bones on the chest need to be a bit thinner, they look like blinds. For the arms, you could do like, a bone shoulder pad, then bone arm, like you have the chest. I don't know about the legs though.

I totally agree with Erwtenpeller on the part with dodge and burn.. it ruins the color!
i used it once.. it wasn't pretty.. and ye premade textures doesn't work since freehand IS the best thing to do.
Darken the area underned the bone helmet and change the skin color to a darker one it just doesn't fit to the helmet and evilness

Yah dodges totally slaughter colors. If anything try taking a darker flesh tone and using Soft Light on the needed shaded area! Looks good so FAR!

THATS why you hate dodge and burn?!?! I thought you hated it because it was too... I dunno... easy. I plan around it. I always use dodge and burn and my skins come out fine... at least I think...

I really like the chest, and how you did it. Try and do the face on your own too. It could look very good. As for the cape, it's ok, a good use of CnP. But if you can, try to redo the same thing using your own textures.

nah when it comes to skinning i'm surprisingly lazy, in a lot of my skins you'll find bits redcolored here and there becouse i didnt think it was worth totally redoing.(Sol'Ta as best example, the pasnts are still the originbal pants, feet and hands are recolored, hair is recolored... ^ ^ so lazy, but still it looks totally new becouse its placed in a new context... its fine to recolor, as long as it isnt obviouse and unoriginal)

i'm fond of my colors, i want them to come one the canvas exactly the way i want them to, and with dodge and burn i just loose a bit of control that i have with brushes. basically, i just cant work dudge and burn ^ ^

i use smudge though, these days more frequently then i used to.
(found out that keeping shadings on a diffrent layer with just black and white can save huge amounts of time and guarantee better quality, and on top of that it allows you to change the colors of areas without fucking up detail. only but in this technique is that it renders the eyedropper, wich i used to use, quite useless...

read all about it in that tut that my sig links to )

Alright, just a slight update. I mostly changed the face and the cape. I still can't decide how to make leg and arm armor still making it look like bones. I changed the weapon to a hammer like some of you suggested, I don't really notive a difference though. Can any one tell me how I might make bone plating or something? I have no clue at all.
