Right. I've decided to have this thread as the persistent resource link for the gallery shot. I'm putting this model up for public consumption and further work by anyone who's interested. As you can see, only a basic skin has been done, some further accessories and wardrobe items are also in order. Enjoy. NOTE: The model file is NOT in .mdx format. I fudged the extension to permit upload. The model is in .3ds format. The skin is attached in wireframe and textured stages, such as it is. |

OK. Files up again. ![]() EDIT: I just realised I picked a really bad angle to view the model from. This is an older shot. |

...making 'Angelina Jolie' Tomb Raider... That's roughly what I was aiming for. What else? But I'm finished with it now. If you want further improvements, you can download the files and work away. |

Oh OK... I getcha. The term used would be 'flat-shaded.' Or 'sharp-edged.' Or 'blocky', or maybe even 'obtuse?' Yeah, I found it actually looked slightly better that way. Anyways... |

You dont need to change the model to fix that though, cause if you notice wc3 models arent that great. You just need to skin it right. Add some nice shading to the body to make it look more round. Also, the texture you used on her face makes her look like shes painted on wood. Dont use one for her skin. Smoothen that out and try to make her skin look nice n' smooth... like butta... (butter) |

I've deleted the gallery entry, since virtually no-one seemed inclined to download. I don't think people here are quite getting the message. I am not working on this model any more. It's all yours now. if you want to improve it, take the files and tinker to your hearts' content. If I intended to continue working on this, I would have kept the files to myself and just given the snapshot for criticism. I am aware it's a very imperfect piece of work, and that proper skinning would rectify many of the problems. So that's why I've posted here, where decent skinners should abound. But I don't have the time to complete it myself. So, please, go ahead. |
