Ok, i got this realy anoting, assbiting, and flash tearing problem that i just hate soooo much, it's that thing with skin, when you import the skin and there is no skin at all only teamcolor floating there does anyone knows how to fix it? I usualy fix this by just editing the skin a lil, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK NOW
HEELP! SOS! something! someone help pliiiizzzz...

I had the same problem wenn i edited Peon.
All i did was darkened his face and changed eye color. Uala! The masterpiece -
he seemed to appear as a bright teamcolorish glowing torso piece!
I liked it so much! Then i sweard that i "love" WE... ^_^

And the moral is: never trust a game develooper ^_^

You could take the base of the skin you made and cnp the alpha channel :D
and oula you've got no floating thingies.. :)

I tried that, didn't work :\

Hmmm, i think i have found the solution, i always use wc3v to convert the .tga to .blp and i always put the compress quality to 99, but now i didn't change it and IT WORKED!!! ^_^

the recommended compresion is 84/85 or something. sometimes it dont work, then you got to change it.

I think what you did was either
A) Change the bit depth. reaper would have changed it LOTS to make it complete team color, but to make it glow a rather team colorish type of thing have it compressed at something like 2 bit more.
Set this back to the standard 34bit to regain your image

B) Alpha channel mayhem.
No alpha channel = no skin/just a shadow
WaCkEd alpha channel somehow = team color... i still dont know how that one works.

C) you have edited something over the alpha that has scrambelled the image in WE and therefore has delivered the plain model and no texture (Turn textures off in WV 2 see what this looks like)

I think thats it.. all from me!

No, garith, it was what i and Windrunner sad, i compressed it to 99 but now i know that i should only conpress it to 85 ^_^
