Alrighty, i'm needing some Beta.. well more Alpha, testers for my recent map - Gnarl Hunt. Its a tag styled map with some unique gameplay ^_^ Its not finished yet, but it is playable and of course i'm needing some suggestions. If you feel like beta testing post here, there should be a test very soon. Also i need somone who can host maps on Battle.Net, as i cant. --EDIT-- Just thought i'd give everyone some details. Gnarl Hunt is a simple concept, 3 players are the Gnarl Hunters, 6 are the Gnarls. The objective of both sides is to kill the other side, Gnarls start off weak but can become strong, Hunters start off strong and can get stronger to match the Gnarls for awhile, but if you leave a Gnarl alone for too long it'll become immortal. Sounds simple enough, your basic tag right? Wrong. The unit are all heros for a start, heros can level up to 25 and have 5 hero skills with 5 levels each, as well as an innate (Gnarls can build as their innate) Theres the following heros: HUNTERS (Note that each Hunter hero can only be chosen once.) Tracker Your basic hunter dude, Agility based the Tracker can take a reasonable amount of damage and put out out a fair amount in return. He is also the only hero that can track Gnarls to their hidden lairs... Abilities Innate: Defend - Basic everyday defend. Heartseek Javalin Hurls a magically enchanted Javalin at the target unit. The Javalin will seek out the heart of its foe, dealing substantial damage and minor stun. Damage and Range increasesby 100 per level. Stun is always 1 second. Tracking* Kassan is a master Hunter, with this skill he can see the normally invisible tracks left by the Gnarls and use them to lead him to his prey. Range increases by 200 per level. Honed Reflexes By Honing his Reflexes, Kassan can not only dodge some attacks completely, but he can strike an opponant twice in the time it normally takes to strike once, dealing double damage. Chance to evade increases by 8% each level. Chance to deal double damage increases by 9% each level. Switch Weapons Allows Kassan to switch weapons from a Javalin to an Axe. While wielding an axe he has increased strength and armor. Strength bonus increases by 4 per level. Armor increases by 3 for all levels. Ultimate: Call Wolfhound Calls a powerful Wolfhound to the Hunters side to track the Gnarls and hunt them down. The Wolfhounds tracking ability and Hitpoints increase with level. Has Critical Strike. *Tracking works really simply. The Hero Gnarls (the ones your hunting) leave tracks, neutral passive units with the Illidan Footprint model that are invisible. The Wolfhound and the Tracker are the only units that can see invisible units, thus they can track Gnarls. The tracks only last 45 seconds however and some Gnarls have abilities to remove them or move without leaving them. Slayer Coming Soon Mage Coming Soon Ranger Coming Soon Cleric Coming Soon Charger Coming Soon GNARLS (All Gnarls have the build structure ability as Innate, although different Gnarls can build slightly different buildings. Wind Gnarl (Can be chosen 3 times.) Coming Soon Frost Gnarl (Can be chosen twice) Coming Soon Poison Gnarl (Can be chosen 3 times.) Coming Soon Energy Gnarl (Can be chosen twice) Coming Soon Shadow Gnarl (Can be chosen twice) Coming Soon Hunter Specials Hunters can hire a total of 12 Mercs with their gold. They get gold by killing Gnarls and Critters scattered around the map. Its 12 for all 3 players, as Red has full shared control with all 3 hunters, and red controls the Mercs. Also this means that should a Hunter fall, he can take control of the Mercs. Gnarl Specials Gnarls can build a base to harvest lumber, with that lumber they can train up to 20 units, workers, defenders ect each. Gnarls can also use that lumber to Evolve themselves, increasing their Strength, Agility, Damage, Intellegence, Armor, Hitpoints ect. They can also get 6 "Special" Evolutions that give them things like increased regeneration and shadowmeld. These Evolutions cannot be removed once gained and you can only have 6 in total, so choose carefully. Gnarls are NOT allied with each other, so Inter-Gnarl warfare may happen. Although in the final version there will be an option to turn Gnarl Alliances on or off. When a Gnarl dies he loses all units and gains shared vision with the other Gnarls, he can then direct them or just sit back and watch, once again in the final version there will be a seperate option, this time to let dead Gnarls take control of special Naga merc units that are weak, but respawn. I've finished the Tracker, Cleric, Slayer and Poison, Wind and Energy Gnarls. The triggers are all triggered and the map is playable, hence why i need beta testers. I havnt uploaded all the descriptions yet, but i will in the future. |
