Guest | in a campaign, is it possible to make a custom unit, using imported files from the campaign editor, or do you have to import them in the map itself? i got a few units coming back in each and every map in my campaign, and its taking up lots of space importing the models and textures of em in every single one :S I've tried everything i can think of and nothing has helped help!? ^_^ |

Guest | I'm not really sure about this but I would think you'd need to place the custom units in each map. I don't know if this would work but try using the trigger under game "load file" or something--I don't have my we open right now-- Sorry I could not be of more help but I know nothing about campaigns. |

You always need to load the custom units into each map specificly, but you can copy - paste them easily |

I beleive you only need to put the units into the campaign. Make sure you open the campaign and edit the map in it when you're assembling the campaign and using imported units. |

I did this. I imported all texture and model files of the MaleElfArcher unit to the Campaign Import Manager. Then I modified the archer to have the MaleElfArcher model and I Exported All Object Data, then I Imported All Object Data to my map and I placed the archer, all I got was the shadow :S I also tried modifying the unit in the Object Editor of the map itself and I selected the model 'war3campImported\MaleElfArcher.mdx (Campaign)'... only shadow again. I don't mind importing the units to each individual map, but it takes up a LOT of space! I'm only at the second map of 15 and I already have 4 MB, all becuz of the unit models Help! lol |
