How do you add or change a sound set for a unit?

It's the sounds that plays when you click on a unit!

I can't recall the specifics. But I think it's rather easy, I did it by just overwriting the sound files like any other file in the MPQ. Beware they use wav though, not mp3. Because it is accessed faster and thus better for unit responses.

There was a thread on this somehwere that explained it. I was a bit skeptical, so I tried it myself.

Find the unit you want for to replace their sound. Go into sound editor in WE and extract their .wav files into a folder. Go into a third party recording program that you have, like Cool Edit Pro or something. Open up each file. You'll notice their mono, that's one of the reasons it doesn't work to just replace them. Because they have to be of a certain fidelity.

Anyway, once you've opened them up, just delete the sound inside the file, and record over it and save. Go into the map you want and open up it's sound editor. Right click on the original sound file, and click to replace it.

And wa-la. Hopefully I didn't miss anything.
