Guest | Topic#2 of the *Custom Loading Page* >Now what I would like to know, is not "How do you create/have a custom loading page" NO, NO, No, I found that answer in the tutorial gallery... now what i want to know is: How do you make a custom load page, that shows player's load status?

Use default loading, then make your own background (size 800x600, or whatever), load it into the importer, and then change in the Gameplay Interface the variable that controls the default loading screen background to your background. (Not totally sure what that is... but you'll find it pretty easily) |

Open up war3.mpq or war3x.mpq and root around a bit in the UI folder until you find the four images that compose the racial background for each race on melee maps. Paste 'em together in Photoshop or whathaveyou, make a new picture, and then cut them up again. Name them to the names of the files for the race you're using, and import 'em. A different screen is used for each race and random, so if you've got multiple races selectable, you'll have a *lot* of filespace added to your map. |
