File editing help (.mdl)

Ok, i wanted to try doing 1 lil thing by a tut, (importing more then one skin on the same model) forst i thought that just press the right mouse buttong onthe .mdl file and choose "open with" and select an option, but the was no "open with" so i thought logecly, just opened a note\ward pad and opened the .mdl file in it. But when i save it, it was just a notepad file o_O
what am i doing wrong?

Rep will be given

Just Go To File "Save As"
and right under where you put the name
of the file select "all files" as a file type instead of "text document(*.txt)"
and when you save make sure the file name is ended with ".mdl"
or it will make it a ".txt" again.
Got It?
