Guest | Let's tell each other about our current projects - it could be fun to hear what everyone's doing! Current Project: (Haven't found a name) Status: About ½ done Time used: Oh man, never used so much time on a single map - over 24 hours, testing, mapping etc. Goal: To create a map with more RPG-feeling in it, as some of you know, i'm trying to make interactions with NPCs so players will be able to ask them where they come from etc. Even though i used the biggest square map (192x192) i only think it will contain 3-4 missions. 2 of the mission are already done. There's 7 terrain regions so far (2 unfinished - 9 in end). I started with a paper and made 9 regions, same size. 2 of them i used for city - i wanted a rather large city, with place for different NPCs, tasks and even low-lvl enemies (bandits, mad dogs etc), then i made a sewer, and in the sewer theres a door to the hidden lair. Then there's 2 regions for a forest, and a swamp. That's 7, so the last is gonna be a mountain - where the heroes will travel upwards and last castle (i think =) I made alot of new items, The ssmith have got different shields and swords, a maul, helmet, armor - there's a chemist with potions of all kinds, there's a thief who sells a bit magical items, and a wizard with all the wizard stuff - more to come =) |

Well my current project is..... DBZ (Mini-Mod) As of now - 1 Player 384x384 Map New DBZ Skins (courtesy of Insaniteus and others hopefully) :) 8 Chapters - The Regular 4 Episode Series - The Tree of Might - Two made by me [A prologue & epilogue (not actual DBZ story)] DBZ Music (Yay!) Modified Abilities,Items, etc. Well, I'd say about 5% done so far. Hey, on a side note, if anyone wants to make some quality DBZ skins, I'll put them in the map (and credit them to you). I have another idea for the use of these assorted features that I may decide to implement later also. [edit] Oh and here's a list of maps I still need to finish Draco's RPG Trilogy - Oceania de Aire (Multiplayer Strategy/RPG) - Knight of Aegis (Single Player RPG) - ???? (Huge Single Player RPG) TBRPG (480x480 RPG) (The) Rage Wars II (Campaign) |

Well, my current projects are: WarStar Status: 2% done, some models made already, terran mission 1 is finished also, at least some of the melee maps that come with the campaign are already made and some of the spells are ready (psi storm, infest terran command center and others). Time used: Hmm, if i count with time from the melee maps i would say around3 weeks. Goal: Do a sc->war3 and make it playable with lan. Basicly the campaign will be more lan centered than a campaign it self.:gsmile: And: Treachery Status: Not even started. Time used: 1min of thinking. Story: You awake in a world that is falling into chaos every second that passes, the last kingdoms that still "live" in that world are uniting and surviving, but will these newly forged aliances last long? Goal: Make a map where you have to betray or be betrayed, the secret to win this game is micromanagement, since everyone will be allied. This will make a map that requires skill to win.:gsmile: |

I'm working on a Predator Map. I would say I'm a good 75% done. *It's a mulitplayer map - 6 players 5 are the Commandos the other 1 is the Predator. *I got a custom skin for the predator. Kinda sucks for the file size, its around 700k, about half that is the skin. *Got customized spells, mostly for the Predator. I'm still trying to find a spell that can be clicked to acitvate a trigger, without making the spell come out. *I'm getting good reviews, about the intro cinema. That's about it. |

Guest | Dark Ages of Camelot -=Battleground v1.0=- 50% done My map is based off of Mythic's MMORPG: Dark Ages of Camelot. If any of you have played it before then you know of the battlegrounds, where mid-lvl players take their characters and battle against one another. Essentially it's the same thing. Choose one of three realms: Hibernia, Midgard, or Albion Each realm has up to 10 unique classes, each with completely customized spells. As Mythic comes out with expansions and patches the map will procede with updates to parallel the changes. The main goal of the map is to capture and hold the central keep for 15 minutes. |

Well I've already mentioned my Seasons of Uncertainty revamp. I've already changed it a lot though. The next version will be radically different from the first. Better terrain, plot, items, enemies, etc. I also have another project on hold. I'll probably call it Gravano's Battle.Net [I like to make the main character named after me after all :) ]. It follows Seasons, somewhat, as Commander Gravano is returning back home from Iskan, but he is caught in a Odyssey like adventure that I plan to stretch through several maps, including this one. Basically, Gravano and his men become captives of a as-yet-unnamed masterfiend who puts them through several tests. Each stage will slightly resemble other popular BNet maps. I'll also add in some mini games of my own creation. For example, in one scenario, one will resemble an insane fun house of sorts. Replicas of your allies may suddenly appear while your ally disappears, and then the replica attacks for a few seconds, after which it will disappear and the true ally will return. I'll finish that up once Seasons is done. |

Ok, I'm working on the UMS Campaign, which we've finally named Dawn of the Rebellion, but I was sworn to secrecy TWICE and I'm not allowed to tell you guys anything about it. I'd say we're 5% done. I'm also working on Rise of Nekrix. Background story: COMPLETELY unrelated to War3 storyline. Humans are getting beat by Orcs in a war for survival. The Humans have several guilds, and one of them is the Necromancers. Nekrix was the leader, but his elaborate plans for becoming more powerful that rarely work have diverted too many troops for too long in this giant war. The King finally gets fed up with Nekrix when Nekrix leads them into the Dead Lands, the lands of the Vampires, to find some lost Shrine built by the Sylvan, the most powerful species ever that has been utterly decimated by civil wars in the last 10 years. The King demotes Nekrix to grunt status, and orders everyone to leave the Dead Lands and get back to helping out against the Orcs. Nekrix is positive that he has the right location for the lost Sylvan shrine, but when he goes to that point there is nothing there. His gut tells him that even though he cannot see this shrine, that it is there. The Necromancers learn that Nekrix has left and decide he is WAY too powerful to leave behind, so they come after him. Once they find Nekrix, they try to convince him to come with them. He refuses and then is attacked by the new leader. The leader is only trying to knock out Nekrix to be taken by force, but Nekrix's rage over being replaced climaxes as he murders his replacement after the fight is already over. Immediatly, out of thin air, the Shrine of Death appears. It obviously needed death to be revealed. The Necromancers stand in awe, as Nekrix runs into the center of the Shrine where a mystic tome resides. He immediatly recognizes this type of shrine as the type made by the Sylvan to seal up magics thought to be too powerful, and prevent mortals from even fathoming the magics that lie within. Nekrix shattered the Tome, and was immediatly consumed by all of the unfathomable magics that he had just released into the world. After 30 seconds, Nekrix was visable again, and he had learned the forbidden magics of Death, which he tested by turning the skeleton of his former leader into a Fire enchanted Burning Warrior. His guild members continued to stare in awe as Nekrix laughed, screaming "I finally have ULTIMATE POWER! Now let's see you try and stop me!" BREIF overview on storyline: Nekrix masteres Skeletons far beyond anyone else. He makes warriors, archers, and magi all at will. He then enchants them using gems. He goes on an insane quest to become a God. He meets Kalandornyo, the Vampire God, and Mortuskull, the Death for all Deaths, and they join him to fufill their own twisted desires. Nothing is safe as they destroy Humans, Orcs, and even LyaElves and KorElves (The warring Sylvan remnants). Features: ALL of Nekrix's skeletons will come from corpses, and not usless gold. 3 types of base skeletons which can all be enchanted with 6 elements, making a total of 18 skeleton units! Kalandornyo brings Vampires, which steal life and spawn by getting the death blow on a unit. Mortuskull doesn't bring Deaths, you'll get them by killing an enemy with Death Coil. Ghouls (will rename) are Vampires born from Human mothers. Dumb as a rock, but VICIOUS! Ghosts have possetion, nothing more. Allows you to use nearly any unit in the game. Abominations (Will rename) are two Ghouls fused into one creature. The creature is a friggin' TANK, but being part alive and part dead causes the creature to decay itself to death unless healed constantly. And that's just the UNITS! This will feature new skins (Most made by me! :ggani: ), custom voices (At least most made by me :ggani: ), custom spells, and an insane storyline. A choose your plan feature to give major replayability. Strategy will play a HUGE role in how well you do, and many Covert Ops missions will give you the edge against superior forces (Inspired by my favorite level in all of StarCraft: Broodwar, the Terran level where you steal Mengsk's Battlecruisers and blow up the rest of his fleet with 'em! Right now it's about 8% done, but I've paused it to concentrate more on the UMS Campaign. Damn, this was a long post. If anyone actually cared enough to read through it all then you can tell me what you think of this. -Insaniteus- |
