looks goood :D I love how u do roll angle on asharas :D I've got to play around more with roll angle. Now lets see, what can u do better... well there is only one thing that attracts my attention, the trees grow on stones, if u change that it will look natural and really great :D GJ

Nice Terrain.

I can't see trees growing in stones.
The Only thing I can see is:

That the Leaves in the front of the pic are floating.

All in my opinion, of course...

Spamming random doodads hardly makes for good terrain...
There's too much contrast between the doodads, some trees don't fit well with others and such
The hills are rather extrem too, I'd smooth them out more

Overall...
It could use a lot of work...

Who's to say he spammed random doodads. That is YOUR opinion, it looks very realistic to me anyways and isn't that what its all about in the big picture of terraining?

Which is why I said everything I wrote was in my opinion. It looks too random to be realistic if you ask me.

Why must everything I say turn into some form of argument...

I AM being constructive, I'm telling him what I dislike about. Would you rather me just say "make it less random"

That wouldn't be very constructive...

shinning force did state everyhting he said was in his opinion. there is no way of knwoing for sure that the doodads were spammed. but there is no way of knowing for certain they were not spammed. his crits were were detailed and specific. which is the most important part of C&C. everyon stick to the terrain. ill lock this thread if all i see is a thread full of arguments and little discusion of the terrain
[edit] in the interests of Leth, ill split the tjhread and deleate the one consisting of argumentative posts, and leave the thread with the terrain in it

So...much...contrast.........head...colapsing...

As stated before me, too much contrast in doodads. I usually stick to two or three SIMILAR trees. The fir and the asharas don't mic too well.

Also, make the path look more traveled. Rigth now it looks like some floating tree-trimmer went through and cut out a hole in the forest...

One more thing, I promise. The perspective seems weird to me. The cattails are as big as the fir tree...

Just fix it up a little and it'll look great.

Good luck.
