(HOT) Pants

did someone have some tips too make him cooler ^_^
before i get some critic : thats my first skin :god_help_us:

Do some more freehanding in this, it looks good though. Maybe add some armor and remove the blindfold!

yes, needs that blindfold taken off. essentially, this is a recolor but it has really REALLY good shading for a first skin! take a WcV shot so we can see what the Wrap looks like!

well... needs custom frehand... human's chest dont concave as much as NE's so turn that into muscle or something. oh! and those panta are rather cool, but change them.. the only difrence is the flames!

great first skin.. a good one to start with!

I changed some things
what you mean with panta ? the old panda logo ore his pants
i try too make the muskle with more shadow
too remove the blindfold takes a while (its dificult for me too paint eyes)
i paint with gimp since 2 days so i dont know how too make materials ore use those burne and dodge thing ( if i know how it works i can try too make an armor then )

Looks really good man! But change the blades a bit, make them like a fire! Ohh thatd be cool! And also maybe change the pants to something, thats what Garith meant

I know a great way to make fire but it may take a few tries to make it look right on those blades. first, clear them all out. do this by:

Create a new channel (Button in bottom mid of the chanels palata (Go to window meu to get it)

Set it to completley white
Opacity100%
Ok. now go to the layers menu. go to "Layer masks" go "reveal all"

now get a black paintbrush on 100% opacity and flow and paint over the blades! now they wont show up in the game! do this for anything else you want out aswell!

now draw a few small lines of fiery colors (The redder deeper ones for now) at the base of where the blades were. now get a smudge tool out. se the size to about as thick as you want your blades. set pressure to around 85%.

Now smudge in a wavy motion the colors along the length of your blades. do this a few times untill it looks moderatley "filled" to your liking. then do the same thing but do lighter colors and the lighter untill you'r at really bright yellow and you only do 1 or 2 strikes down the middle...

Heyy.... that would make a decent tourturial someday!

anyway.. good fire! Try at and it;ll look really good! oh and nice work with the abs. you'll need to try the eyes a few times but you'll get it.

can you explane with some more detail (like pics ) because gimp is complete in german (cause i am german )
is it possible too make the blade like my pic : i have alway the problems of the sice

i have tryed too give the pants an other form. but then when i take a look with the wcv the pants are incomplete there ? how should i change i then ?
the only thing i can do is too give it an other collor and change the shade a bit !

Hmmmm...eyes lookin pretty GOOD! Very nice, and yes you can make the blades look like that, to do so search for a gimp tutorial on alpha channels er whatever. Then you can do the desired effect!

1 : i never worked before with prog like gimp ant other with that alpha thing

4: i also workt compledly freehanded, only diferend is the blizzard skin in the background ^_^ . and thats helps a lot .

nobody is perfect (everyone make mistakes but we learnd from that , i hope you to )

have read some tuts but i not find what i want . (so i make the blades a bit smaler to give it the flame form)

Blades are 80 % complete needs onlly a bit shading (maybe some fire collors)
what do you guys think i have to do with his pants ?

Alphaed blades look great! Now just color em to look like fire!

then maybe what you think is your first skin isnt a skin at all... just adding some flame to pants and recoloring a body isnt skinning. its being silly.

always freehand, always redo the body and especially the face. otherwise you'll never ever make a really good skin.

i created the blade, make the flames ,build his sixpack,painted eyes,makes shoes with socks, ( 3 or 4 hairs i think ^_^ ), 1 armpad <--- is that all not freehanded then ???

and next please post something normal like how i can do it to looks better
