AMAI 2.42 is now up with some heavy optimizations to file size done with the new optimizer that is included in 2.42 Developer Edition. Manfunctioning lock button is fixed. Some "not return to base after creeping" optimizations int he code and alos added more tower building to RoC version and fixed the RoC harassing behavior a bit. |

Well, before going to sleep, i tested this version 2.42 and was impressed by how AMAI behaved. I created in frostsabre a FFA with 4 AMAI , and myself spectating in the LAN game option (selecting my own team as "Spectator") Every race were present, i noticed that the hero never attacked on his own, without an army, that is really a great enhancement, as every AMAI never lost their heroes ambushed while alone. ![]() I noticed during the game that Human, Orcs and Night Elfs never build any tower, in their main base or in their expansion, like in previous RoC AMAI versions. But, i noticed that the Undead for the first time in a RoC AMAI decided to upgrade his ziggurats in both his base and expansion, i was surprised. The simple fact he had towers made him to win this FFA in 30mn. His upgraded ziggurats gave him the needed time to come back to the rescue of his expansion each time (the undead expansion was assaulted 3 times, and 3 times thanks to the towers the undead army countered the attacks) While in the same time any other races expansion were destroyed in the first attack (without towers, they had no chance to resist before the defense army could came back). Congratulations on letting the undead upgrade his tower , i even noticed that each time one upgraded ziggurat was destroyed , it was built again and upgraded to not let the expansion without defense. I hope secretly that one day the other races will build towers in their base and expansion, but if it is too much work considering it is only RoC , do not focus on it , the enhancement is already very great. Especially the behaviour enhancement, keeping the heroes with their armies another great releaseI can't wait tomorrow night to try to beat the Undead AMAI , now it can build upgraded ziggurats very well. thank you for 2.42 |

hehe, well sorry to dissapoint you but not much of this has changed anything from 2.42. Only change you might see is that they proceed to next target faster after finishing an attack now. Have tested out undeads abilities to build towers both at expansions and at main in 2.41 and there was no bugs or malfunctions with that. They do creep with lone heroes in first creep attack sometimes but there is no problem with that. In RoC I didn't dare to put too high priority for towers since I didn't have any time to test it. |

In previous version , while watching replays i noticed that AMAI heroes was often caught alone by an opponent, while his army was back in town , and for the 2 FFA i watched in spectator in 2.42 , the AMAI heroes tend to stay with their army. But maybe i am dreaming while spectating ;) Quote:
2.42 , (at last for RoC) is from what i noticed the first version i see undead upgrading their ziggurat. Never occured in any previous version. Quote:

Geez, Am I the only lonely soul who has been having problems with the UD not arming their Ziggurats? Everything else is great but I have had this problem since 2.41 (checked both the maps I use to test and both have the default upgrades for UD). I have already emailed Zal but is there anyone else having this problem??? Lucky me. |
