Since I'm not getting any help on this, could you guys plzzzzz help me.
I have tried for the past month or so to expand the 8 hero skills system (Made by Vex) to a larger scale, when I tried to add more skill trees it didnt get removed from the hero skills panel. I need as many spells as i can in my RPG and each spell going to level 500. could someone please make a bigger version of the 8 hero skill map, it would be a really big help. Thx

To be honest, I highly doubt anyone will want to play a game where the ability levels go up to 500. I suggest minimizing to about 10-50.

if you want more then 8 skills with over 500 levels, i expect to gain 20 levels off killing a wisp.

Lol, its a huge RPG im making, the reason why there is 500 levels per ability is because tehy arent really abilitys like "Rain of Fire" and "Storm Bolt" They are going to be used in triggers, like one of the abilities will be "Luck" and that will increase the # of gold you get per kill and item drop etc. I really need to have as many skills as i can because I want to have as many catagories as possible.

Edit: Gaining a level will only take about 3-5 mins

So, let's see... 5 times 500 = 2500 MINUTES. That equals to about 41 playing hours to get JUST ONE SKILL leveled up to max (500).

That's not realistic.

logik
that is alot of lvls, i suggest dulling it down a bit.

but anyways, you can store spells in spell books and stuff...

i posted a spellbook system in the dl section which is kinda nifty... i will dig up the link - but it might help?

- just name search "mavika" (logik is my old alias)

100 levels at least WAS max in normal editor....and it will be VERY boring for you to make those skills if you can't use some kinda formula for levels...

And also...why must you use the caster system?

At least I dont like it...the spells are nice but you don't need a caster system to make that -.-.

i think what he wants is passive abilities, or stats, that automatically increase when you level. sorta like in the game Morrowind. (BEST SINGLE PlAYER RPG EVER)
thats a game where i saw the trait called Luck.

By the way, are you making a morrowind RPG for warcraft 3? That world is F.O.P.ing HUGE!!!! it takes liek 5 hours to walk from top to botom of it, without any fights and lag and what not. Sorry if i am getting al ittel off topic. I just love that game it freaking kicks ass!

If the abilities (like luck) automatically increase per levle, maybe it wouldnt be so bad. If you had some character classes like , Theif, where the luck ability increases by 10 points each level, whereas a warrior clas, the luck ability would only increase 2 points each level. You could balance it out, like in morrowind.

Hi, I just got a copy of Diablo II, became addicted and all, and I must say that the level limit for skill is 20, and it works pretty well.

I highly suggest you to forget the 8 hero skills system, now with Set Unit ability level and that stuff is possible to do really better stuff without the problem of having cooldown getting reseted when changing from skill tree , or the problem of having 4 spells for each skills , or to use engineering upgrade
