I would go straight for Adobe Audition (formerly Cool Edit Pro, they changed name cause they changed owner; previous company was Syntrillium). You can download a tryout version at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...atform=Windows (you'll need to register first, its free). The bad thing is that, well, it's just a TryOut version, so you will get either software limitations or a time limit of 30 days (probably the limitations). I never tried Audition, but Cool Edit Pro was ownage for such a cheap software, mostly cause it was one of the few non-proffesional programs including a multitrack editor/recorder/mixer to work with several sounds and effects in a non-destructive way, and because it had probably the best Noise-Reduction tool ever saw in the audio industry.

For your info, Adobe Audition 1.5 costs $299.

If you want a more affordable option, Sony Soundforge Audio Studio costs $69.95 (http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.co...ct.asp?PID=945)

Anyway, there's P2P software... there are cracks and serials around... BUT YOU SHOULDN'T USE THEM!! ;)

I own audition :) So would do as well.

Anyways it's in the winamp options SOMEWHERE :) I once did it, but I got audition and soundforge combos... so no real need to anymore.
