Alright i just recently found out of this (believe me or not!:o ) that to reduce the number of doodads you've got you first go to Options then turn of 'Masked areas are partial visible' thereby making it impossible for the player to view areas, right? now then when you make a forest you create a ring of trees instead. like this O though make it 'two or three trees thick' now you've just saved a whole forest! though what if the player uses flame strike??? o_O you just have a trigger which makes every tree indestructible. this is isnt the best in some games though its a neat trick and i wanted to tell it to post it for people to view. Sataras Correction: If its not a melee map edit the flame strike spell so it doesnt effect trees, or as you said just use indestructible trees... but not true triggers... make em indistructible in the object editor. |

does it really matter if its a hero arena out in a forest??? this might work for some maps not every map. |

Another thing, but its not very significant. When you have colored fog/sky, and scroll down a little, you wont see the shadows of Trees on the sky. |
