Spell Help

i'm in some trouble, i have a melee unit and gave him a flaming arrows ability but whenever i auto cast it he doesn't use it he just keeps using the melee attack... what do i do? :(

The arrow abilities don't work at melee range, if I remember correctly. It's probably hardcoded.
