I want to geomerge 2 models with Geoset Merger, but the after merging I only get the wolf without the Tauren. I've attached the 2 models. The Tauren is allready adjusted so it looks like he's sitting on the wolf.

your tauren mdl is messed up. do this: open up the mdx of the tauren. it doesnt have any animations. none. it needs at least a stand, even if it isnt moving.

dont delete all the anims of the tauren. instead, save as geoset. the tauren wont be animated when on the wolf, but it will be there....

hope it helped.

The problem is indeed with the tauren. Firstly, it's divided into two geosets. You could fix that in Gmax (you exported this with DeX, right?). Next, there's a little incompatability between some of my programs and dex. It makes a comment line after "Geoset {". My program checks to see if the line is equal to "Geoset {", which it is not if it is something like "Geoset { //Object 76". So, all you have to do is go in and remove that comment.

Here is a fixed tauren model.

The Tauren now shows up in the model, but when I select an animation the tauren dissapears again. How come?

You attached it to the wrong bone. Try messing around with which bone you choose in the merger program (assuming that's what you're using). "wolf-body: Bone Wolf Waist" sounds promising.

The wolfrider has mutliple bones, but the merger only allows me to merge the geoset with 1 bone. Is there a way to fix this, or change this with notepad or something?

make sure the first slot is the wolf, second is the tauren. not the other way around.

and...you know that the tauren ISNT going to be animated, right? unless you animate him manually in gmax...

interesting that the wolf wont be crushed by the weight of the tauren :P WoW uses kodos for cow mounts, just to be sure. haha...

Is there a way to replace the rider with the tauren and keeping all it's animations? Else I'll stop trying :P

hmm.. okay thanks alot guys. Btw Oinkerwinkle, your programs are really helpfull! (maybe it's a good idea to make a program that imports the anims in Gmax :D)
