I have no clue as to rotate a doodad 360 as in putting it in sides, and as in putting it up-side-down. And yes I checked the little list of commands and the sorts already, I just need to know and I would be happy, and plus I need it for my "secret" project. |

upside down: pitch and roll angles. rotation: hold ctrl and drag with the right mouse button while having the doodad selected. ![]() |

Correction. You cannot make an object upside down unless you input a negative value in the Roll Angle - which cannot be done even with the option for it checked in Preferences. Instead, hold Shift while clicking the Roll Angle option. This will allow you to input a negative value. |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, now everyone knows :'( my terrain aint cool anymore :'( actually: murcilago, upside down for doodads = -pi or -3.14 for units upside down is just -180 there are more funny things you can do with negative values like making a unit walking backwards or totally changing its animations to something weird. |

Cool, could you tell us more about this please (what good with keeping a secret for oneself?) EDIT: how can one modify the way a doodad rolls. Cause if I put the max roll value to -180, how will I make a doodad actually have a value of 180, since I can't choose the roll value. |

y=sin(x) when y=0 then it is either upsidedown or normally (or mirrored upside down, or mirrored normal). So there are actually many numbers which makes them upside down but -135.00 is prolly just looking like it is upside down. But then again.... -3.14 isnt really upside down either, its all just a "close 2" upside down. -180 on units is REALLY upside down tho, -540 would be mirrored upside down ithink (360+180). Try this: walking speed = -200 (makes the unit show its walk animation backwards) |

I understand the concept, but how do you actually DO the rotation? I tried it quick and I succeeded in a normal rotation. How are you able, physically, to rotate it, say, upside down? |
