Choosing characters

I'm having a bit of a problem with my upcoming AOS map. I want players to choose characters by using the arrow keys on the keyboard. And press ESC to choose that character. Like showing a camera with a unit and when you press left or right arrow key it switches units depending on which one is next in the order. Does anyone know how to do this? Kind of something like this, (Screenshot from Lord of the Rings Hero Siege)

Current Spot = integer var, : to know at which hero he is precently looking at

Event - A player presses right arrow
Set "Current Spot" to "current spot" + 1
Camera - Pan to camera object (next hero) over x seconds
"and show all the stuff you want too show"

Event - A player presses left arrow
Set "Current Spot" to "current spot" - 1
Camera - Pan to camera object (next hero) over x seconds
"and show all the stuff you want too show"

Event - A player presses Escape (= Cinematic Skipped)
Create THAT hero for this player and do that and that ;)

EDIT: I don't really understand your instuctions, maybe you can explain them better like exact code, or make me a sample map if you have the time please?
I also want only one camera, like when you press left or right the heroes switch as well as the words but the camera stays the same.
