Hey Guys, I layed the Diablo Remake on ice cause its pretty hard thou. I first start with somthing more simple bevor continuing that one. My newest project is 'The Chronicles of Kaitar: Elvenseed'. Have a look. Its a german project but i think i will translate it when finished. Its an old-school campaign telling the first Chapter of the Chronicles of Kaitar. What i request is a skinner that could help me make my heros and the elven units look more 'Elvish'. I got some samples of armor and stuff but my skinning talents arent that good. Hope someone help me. |

Maybe you should give some more information regarding the project Shadey. The screen shot looks nice and promising though... -Fladian |

First of all sorry for posting in the wrong section. Thought i was in the right subforum, damnit. Well the project itself is part of a greater story i wrote by myself called 'Chronicles of Kaitar'. Kaitar is an Arcmage that studies the events in Azeroth as an silent scriber, but sometimes appear and gives advice or even help. Part 1, Elvenseed, features a Story that play before the events in WarCraft 1. Quel'thalas is still the great empire of the sun and the human nations quarrel around for more ground and all. The village Goldleaf has been destroyed and the inhabitans have been killed and mutilated. After some scouts reportet what happend the high council comes together to make the right steps. After some discussment (Intro Map) they send the Highmage Sylvanos Starseeker and some men to the ruins of Goldleaf. Also, Kaitar self appears and talks to Sylvanos bevor he leaves. As i said its gonna be something like an oldschool campaign because i wanted to start with something less difficult like the Diablo Remake. The story will feature conspiracys, fights, enigmas, and even a lovestory. Also the story goes to other timesections of the WarCraft history to explain what the Elvenseed is and where it camed from... A short information. i apologize for possible mistake in writing, my english is not that perfect. |

A love story? Now you got my interest running ;) But seriousely, it sounds better then I expected. Is a skinner really everything you're in need of? Normally people ask for modelers even though Santa and I have been desperately telling people it is hard to get one ;) Glad there's an exception :P If you think you have a bad grammar, don't forget to try and get someone (if necessary) to check your grammar for you, like I had one about 1 3/4 years ago... *sigh* Those were good times... The features of the story sounds very interesting, even though I am not *too* fond on the story (nor the basings, seeing as it is based on Warcraft) but the features might make up for it. We'll see... But still, some extra information (like progress) from here and there can't hurt either Shadey ;) Oh yeah, what kind of a project is it anyway? Campaign? RPG? Cinematic? If you can tell me this, I'll move it to the 'right' forum for you ;) (or otherwise, just ask whichever you want, as long as it is fitting) -Fladian |

It is based on WarCraft, even when the hole story is invented. The progress? Well, working on the intromap at the moment. Gathering some models, try to skin (with less luck -.-). I have a modeler for Doodads, and cause its my startup project i dont need plenty new models. Have a look at this shot. As you can see my modeler and i (i created the skinfiles, he made the models) allready worked hard to make a innovation. ![]() The most important thing in the campaign will be that you make many decisions by yourself. Choosing a path, choosing an companion, betray one to help another or betray both? Also the story has some quite unexpectable changes, the foes are no demons or undead or stuff. If you finde out whos behind all this its probertly to late... Ah, and before i forget... a singleplayer campaign. |

Guest | ooohh, a love story!and what a nice models! you dont really need a skinner, you can just use the units in warcraft. custom models/skins dont make a map better, if it isnt good already then dont expect that models/skins make it better. they only make it look more pretty. -HolyAngel |

I know. But be honest... wouldnt it look better when the senators look more different from standart units? Only adding glow might be enough to make them look 'hero-like', but they're still standart units. The Archers and some other units can stay untoched, sure. But look at the shots again. My doodad-modeler and i made plenty new models to show the mage-school of Quel'Thalas and the palace where the senators have there council. What would i look like when there are nice looking doodads but only standart skin files and/or units? |

HolyAngel, I am happy that someone sees that people don't always need help, but it can easily be afforded here. Like Shadey said, the models which already were given are enough proof that they are willing to show something. I definitely am not claiming you wrong HolyAngel. No offense to the skinners, but there are enough available skinners in all around. From all statics, it are probably the skinners we have here of the most. ...damn, I'm hungry... -Fladian |

thats right, but alot of skinners are already in a project. im in 3 projects and i make some skins for nothing, just for fun. but youre right Fladian and ehh Shady, maps look (almost) always better with skins. |

Oh c'mon, it cant be that theres no skinner out there that even asks for more details or what i need before he says no. |

Guest | yes, maps do look better with custom stuff. i prefer playing a map with skins and models, only because its new to play with them. but the gameplay is the most important thing in a map. and i guess *now i have seen WC3C some more* that there are alot of skinners. so it should't be a big problem. EvilShade, maybe you should give some more details. so that the skinners can actually decide if they want to make a skin. or you can try the request forum, and see if you can find some freelancers. |
