DragonScale Armor WIP

This is my first skin were the whole thing is hand done( ^_^ I feel so proud ^_^ ), well not counting the face or weapon wich i havn't changed at all. I feel that it's missing something still though and I'm looking for some CnC.

its a bit blurry, looks like you dodged,burned and blurred the whole thing. i think you need some more color variation. and you cant remove the black line in his face, can you?...think that the wrapping.
but other then that, its not so bad. better then my first skin.

I actually didnt use dodge or burn at all. I created different layers and used black and white at 10% occupency. I can't get rid of the black line on the face, I don't know how it got there, but it's been there since the original skin. As for the blurriness, all my skins seem to come out that way and I have no idea why. I tried figuring it out once, but I clearly failed miserably.

Good job! at least you know how to shade. and thats the right techniqe. using that, you can become really good! anyway, for the skns, sharpen it, accent the gaps inbetwee, mabye with a pitch black, and brighten the scales. really, you need to maeit brighter. that gold on the shield needs to be almost white at the tips, not that grey! oh and sharpen the entire thing a few times!

UPDATE:

I changed the color sceam and sharpened it up. I also worked on the shading a bit more, but it cuts some of it off so the sheild still doesn't look just right. I like the mask the best.

It's good for being an first skin. But it's still a bit blurry.

Hmm...pretty good armor! Like it ALOT put it up for DL and pray Wormskull doesnt see it( and I PRAY HE DOESNT READ THAT LAST COMMENT!)

Well something went horribly wrong with my computer and now I lost all my skins. So I can't fix it up more or even keep it a secret from Wormskull cause now it technically doesn't exist. I'm going to have to start all over from scratch. This sucks, but it's a quick way to learn my lesson. Hopefully I can come back with a new version of this skin soon. Untill then, "Hay un lobo y una oveja. El lobo tiene hambre. I'll leave the rest to you."


EDIT: Ok, well I started on a new version, this time going for more of an icey sort of look. I only really finished the mask, with the rest not started or only outlined. I'm not sure what to do with the face, I had it as a skull at first but then I realised that the nose sticks out so that shot down that idea. I might just make it all black or a very dark color with glowing eyes.

no no.. thats not ice.. that head piece so well decomes an awesome Icicle.. why not try and sake it look like real ice! hey its a challenge! try it out. no thats not right.. you might want to look through the techniqe factory for some cool ideas! how about using Meeshe's lava tourturial for ice!

dont be afraid to use more black in your shading and really define the skin though, it definetly needs more definition but you'll get there ^ ^

Sorry you don't like the helm, but I wasn't exactly trying to make it look like ice. I just made how it was then was playing around with the colors and made it blue and it happened to remind me of ice. So I never really ment for anything to be ice like and I'm sorry for even mentioning it, I havn't mastered the skill of not blurting things out yet. And yes I know I said I was going for an ice theme, but since when do I know what I'm doing? I'll probably end up changing the color at least five more times efore I find one that I'm atcually happy with, so don't expect a real color sceam any time soon. I do happen to like a ruby red sort of color though, so I might lean towards that. There probably won't be another update for a while since tonight I have to do a Biology project that I havn't started that I had 3 months to do and it's due tomorrow. I probably won't finish it and will get grounded, so if I do, I'll miss you all, but I don't really have friends on this anymore to miss since I left here a long time ago until I decided to come back now with a different name.
