Guest | Alright, here's my problem: I've skinned a model, marine to be precise, I've made a new skin for it, and even tested the skin on the model - Looks great. The problem is, I can't join the .blp with the .mdx in order to make the outside .blp file default for the .mdx model file. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() |

That doesn't really make sense. When you import the BLP into your file, your going to change the custom path to match the path of the marine. Thus the game replaces the skin automatically. So in the import manager, your skins name should be: Units\Critters\Marine\SpaceMarine.blp When you first import it, it won't show in the editor. You need to save your map file, and restart the editor. Also In order to see it in the editor, you may have to copy the skin to your warcraft III directory. If you do that, it will show it like that in any map, inside the editor. (It won't be like that in the game though) |

Ya i think you merged 2 tutorials, by the sound of it the custom model one and the skinning one ^_^, but anyways what you have to do is 1. get it into *.blp 2. put it into wc3s import editor 3. find the right path for it using the wc3 image extractor, check the tools section, i think its textures/marine.blp or units/critters/marine.blp ***its a critteR?!?!?*** 4. save and quit 5. restart the world editor 6. place your unit 7. NOTE THIS STEP IS KEY give me a rep point *lol jk* EDIT: ahh alas im wrong.. its Units/Critters/Marine/SpaceMarine.blp |
