I have heard that you are going to be making a book on TTOA. if so are you already working on it? When do you think you will finish?

Aye, I have plans to do so.

I haven't started on it yet however, as I need to lay things out a bit more too. I'm also kinda not in the groove for writing it right now. Right now I'm really trying to concentrate more on getting a job so I can buy a few things I want, and for Christmas (also so that I don't feel like a lazy useless bastard that never has anything productive to do). I applied for a job at a place a few of my friends work 4 days ago... but since they haven't given me a call, I guess thats not gonna happen. Damnit I shoulda never quit my paper route. I'd have enough money to buy the few things I want had I not.

I'd be sure to let you guys know when I muster any significant progress on the book. ^_^
Just not in the mood to create the story of others right now, I need to work on creating my story first ;)

EDIT: Oh and to answer your question on when it might be finished - its a long way off. I honestly can't see it being completed by the end of this decade. I take my time planning things out, and with college and all not too far off, I probably won't have too much time to dedicate to TTOA for the next few years.

Oh yeah and if you can't tell I'm in a shitty mood, not 100% sure why exactly... I really wish I had a job... I feel really useless right now. I need a job... some purpose for something to do in my life.

ok. thats cool, I don't care how long it takes too make I just think it would be cool to see it come out. Mabey when it comes out I will get a team together and we will make a live action movie series out of it, now that would be awsome. If you do make a book would you give me the rights to make a movie? and I don't know if you know but The Battle for Middle Earth from EA Games is coming out december 6th and it comes with a world editor so mabey you or someone else could finish TTOA using that engine because it supports like 6 times as many troops too be on the screen at once and it allows those cool fortresses. Just a thought :)

Yes, he is going to start very very soon, in fact i belive he is writing ideas and concepts at this very moment, and I very much hope that EA's RTS isnt as disappointing as the new released RPG.

If anything I might make the TTOA cinematic series for Dawn of Fantasy... I don't know though, I think that TTOA is going to take longer to complete then any reasonable game lifetime can allow. Perhaps once I finish the book... or once I plan out the plot a bit more (I know how I want to get from Point A to Point B, just not sure exactly how), that maybe I will make a cinematic or try to have it made into a movie (which would satisfy me and I would love more than anything).

Perhaps I will make a module for Neverwinter Nights based in Arasil (the world TTOA takes place in) just to expand the actual world itself more. Neverwinter Nights is a game I'm really interested in right now - Biowares D&D RPG games are great (played BG, BGII, IWD, IWDII, and now NWN, and loved them all). However I'm not sure what sort of storyline I would go with for this. I might not even have it taking place on the same continent (Kiran-Hal, the biggest continent, is where TTOA takes place). I would probably have it taking place on Kadorin, the home of two human nations, the homeland of the elves, and land of the Marsh of Lost Shadows - home to some of the meanest orcs, and other semi-undead creatures.
Since NWN 2 is probably going to be out Q1 or Q2 of 2006, I might just make some fun little modules to expand my ideas and learn the toolset. ^_^

For some reason I still don't feel inspired to work on TTOA even after playing the fabulous RPG that Neverwinter Nights is. I don't know, perhaps some of the things that happened to a few of the characters sorta took away the glory and inspirational feeling from it, it was sort of a sad tale. Or maybe I'm just worn out of ideas for now, or still need a break before tackling TTOA again. Hmph I don't know. One of those invisible blocks is preventing me from delving right back into it passionately again. And no its not writers block... I've writen all sorts of other stuff for my creative writing class and such. I'll just call it the TTOA's block.

So yeah I have TTOA's block, that sums up everything I said into one bundle.

so could I dirrect the movie? when the book comes out I would seriously make a movie of it if I could just get someone or some company like New Line Cinama to sponcer me and donate money I would make the movie. If I do make a movie of it could you come to the set and be an adviser to make sure everything ends up like you want it? I would really love to make a movie of TTOA and it would probably have to be in a trilogy or something just so we don't have to scrunch everything into a 3 hour movie.

Eh... no offense, but I'd look for a director that has many years of directing experience behind them. Someone like... damnit whats the name of the guy that directed Gladiator...

But if you're a bigshot director sometime in the future, then I'll consider you ^_^
