Im still using RoC but how do I edit the skills because the WE has no feature to do so.

Only the TFT world editor can edit spells.

Well I read about editing the mpq with some program to change just the names and icons.

at this moment tft should be costing like nothing, I recomend you to get it if you want to go into mapping, no kidding

What if you have a copy of TFT, but cant find it, and you dont have ny money?

Can't find it lol? If you installed TFT you can use the ROC CD for TFT, and if you didn't install it, you could still search it, and rebuying costs nearly nothing, you can buy it for five euros/dollars or cheaper!

In roc you can change spells importing in the map the edited skillsdata.slk (the name should be like that). You can export it from the war3.mpq file in your warcraft3 directory.

In the .slk file you can edit all variables, cooldowns, mana costs, tooltips, damages and soo on. You can open it with microsoft excel or maybe Open Office if you dont have MsOffice.

It is AbilityData.slk ;)

You can edit nearly everything with the SLK files of the game. However, this is only for experienced users.

BTW, buying TFT doesn't hurt your purse too much.
