help from this forum. ^_^ come play it: tekkbeta.clansos.net All triggers were coded in Jass, with my knowledge of other languages and this forum I learned jass very well by researching and reading the forums. ^_^ I'd like to give special thx for to the peopel who answerd my questions, and kattana for the handle vars, function, and vexorian for polledwait2. Which my map uses. Every thing else was straight out done by me, with knowledge learned here. ^_^ |

Guest | Jass spells? Seen it, not any better than many other GUI spells (even the multi-instanceability option is useless for an AoS map, for no spells should be repeated twice). |

They don't have to be better, but generally they are because of 2 facts: 1. You have some more...hmm let's say "power'... when doing the spells 2. Jass spells, if well coded, are generally less laggy and totally multi-instanceable |

I don't recall saying my JASS spells had to be any better the gui. ALL I basically said was here is my map which was done in jass which i learned from the forums THANK YOU. arcanister it seems your like some anti-jass hater, you obviously have some issues, since everytime i've seen you post you never say anything positive or nice. Your just some angry lil prick on the forums, with useless comments. ie "JASS SUX GUI GOOD!" "YOU SUCK!", if people don't want to use jass they won't if they want to use it they will. Your bias is very pitful. x_+ |

Guest | I don't say JASS sucks you moron, go and quote any of my posts that flame JASS, I'll give you my five cents. The thing I am annoyed is the description of this map. There is no experienced map makers who only describe their maps as "made all in JASS, so it's better than other maps, go play it". Search around, a lot of skilled map makers with awesome maps and awesome and informative descriptions. Suppose that the spells were that awesome, I did tried it myself, and, except for some I have not tested, the ones I tested were either name-changed normal spells or some spells with just similar effects like normal ones. I don't say they suck, but I don't find any reason why they have to be mentioned to be coded in JASS at all. Because you are inexperienced, here is a suggest: give a more informative description, telling what game play features the map has, how is the map unique from the others (again.. not JASSed spells), what is the atmosphere, the new things that players can expect. And, improve your terrain! There are too many 3 lane AoS already. A fresh, great looking terrain will make players not think that the map is 'just another AoS map'. Get it? |

I never implied since the tirggers were made in all jass that the map was better then other maps. I just mention the triggers were done in JASS which i was able to learn from teh this site and THANKS YOU to the people who helped me. Which was the reason why I posted the topic, hence why I didn't get a informative description. And all the spells aren't done in JASS but most of them are or are jass ehanced, and almost all the triggers are done in JASS. Honestly I think there is some misccomunication between you and i, since you seemed to have missed the reason why i posted this. Which was just to THANK the people for helping learn jass so i can make my map. And I also mistook your criticism as well, I'm sorry. Anyways, yes, I know there are many 3 lane AOS's already, the terrain in my map is constantly evolving, I'm only in beta right now. Alot of the hero's in the map aren't even completed , and have temporary filler skills, the reason why I have my beta released to public is just to gather more data/feedback and information, so I can get a better picture of where the map needs to be evolving, its also to test out the map was well, as in how units react with each other on multiplayer and also how some of the triggers work out online. The thing is I have beta tester's but it's hard to get them all online at the same time to test full game which sucks and hinders the maps progress, if i could i just privately beta test it to near completetion. |
