Guest | This is the terrain for a footman map. The four bases are purposely not equal, with the top left sitting in a town that is hard to get in and out of, top right in a wide open field, bottom right far from the battlefield in a forest, and bottom left in a swamp. I am a noob at terraining, but is there anything that immediately stands out as noobish? | v |

Guest | The atmosphere is nice. The proportions are weird, but its not that bad if you are a noob. Anyway, we can't see too much with those screenshots. Salutions® |

IIRC 64/80/72 or similar. Not enough detail is something that cannot really be helped, it is for a footman map and more scenery just gets in the way. Bad proportions, otoh... Back to the WE, I suppose. ^_^ |

Gnome Village! I'd make it less plain, add some little pebbles on the road, grass tufts, flowers, or whatever else you need to make it look nice. Wouldn't hurt to make the fountain more natural either. The village part is pretty bland as well. |

It is alright for a noob. But like the others say, add more detail. |

Stop labelling yourself as a noob. Looks real good, as the other said atmossphere is awesome, but I would make use of a bit more doodads, some max scale improvements (making things bigger) and a couple of extra screenshots. This looks good for a footman war map if I understood your post correctly. - MuldaV |

the atmosphere is great. however, it appears to ahve been done with very small models. id suggest useing exactly the same meathod, but scaleing everyhting up alowing you to make the town look more cluttered, and makeing the ground tiles smaller in comparason with the terrain so you dont get those streched ugly terrain tiles |

Guest | indeed.the atmosphere is the best :P but you could use some envriorment, and some more variation of tiles, and use *some* more dodads, nice for a nOoOb ^_^ |

Well, the idea and the colors work, because the Thumbnails look much better than the actual pics, what you should do is refine it and add alot of details. |
