Guest | Have any of you guys ever played this map or made a map thats SOOO awesome but its really big and the dl takes a long time? Well whomevers been in this situation knows that the second those dota freaks and people like that look how long the DL takes see that its not a AOS type map so they just think its prob garbage and leave. Anyone ever played Battle for Middle Earth? Its really a killer map but it gets drowned out by all the dotas and shit because noone ever dls so it never gets popular. All in All i'm just sick of these shitty little TDs and Aoses that are spamming around and not letting any room for new big or cool maps. Anyone else agree? |

Thank god we have crap maps... Imagine the number of noobs flooding the good maps otherwise.... |

It's true, it takes a special kind of person to wait for the map to dl and wait for other people to join and wait for them to dl... Such players are more fun to play with, I guess... |

The secret to making a good map popular: Release a low-band version of it so it downloads quickly Release a high-band version of it. Congratulations your map is now the dot of battle.net |

so, you're saying release a good version and a bad version? :\ sorry, but i dont think i wanna sink that low to achieve map popularity. |

He means release a 'large version' with music,skins,models, any space consumers. And a 'light version' for 56kers and the like without those above luxury's or less of them. If the map is truly good it doesnt nessicarily mean it needs those things, in fact if it takes long to dl, sure it won't get popular because of so few whom have it. |
