-WE deletes placed units when map is re-opened-

ive searched the forums and didnt see anything like this.. but when i save my map.. and then re-open it at another time.. all the placed units are gone, along with starting locations.. every single unit is gone.. ive tried opening it in all 3 editors (regular, UMSWE, WE Unlimited) but i get the same problem with each.. and i cant "just make a new map" because the terrain and triggers coordinate with the current map, so it has to be solved or ditched. help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. btw.. ive been working with the editor for almost 2 years now so i know it pretty well.. and have never come upon this problem before :-D

you can copy and paste the terrain and triggers into a new map :P

do the doodads go with it? and can you mass-copy n paste- the variables?

No, but you can copy all the doodads and paste them, too...
For the variables, go to File-->Preferences-->and check the box where it says 'Automatically create unknown variables while pasting trigger data'

as for the doodad thing.. u cant place em exactly where they were.. and its hard to place em seeing as i have 4000+ doodads selected at one time.. and the variables, you still have to recreate each one of em for them to work.. ugh.. this sux lol.. bummer..
