If I made a custom hero, gave it custom skills, give the hero to a computer player, and set it to patrol for enemy human player unit's, will the computer tell the hero to use it's skills automaticaly in combat, or do I have to trigger the hero to use them himself?

It will surelly do, just make sure it learns the skills on level up

Everytime I try to make the hero do something it just tries to run back to it's starting position and stays there.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'd like to make the computer take control of a leaving player's hero and use it.

Well, I couldn't try it at the time of my post because I wasn't home, and I could use the info for some away-from home triggering I was planning.

So, it will use the skills, but not level them up, gotchya. Thanks Vex.

As for Ryude, as you ordering the hero to do something, or is it running to attack and then running back?

if you dont want it to run back, do the action:
"AI - Ignore units guard position"
The AI fucks up some things with triggered moving.

I never thought about that, thx I will try it. BTW, can I use AI scripts in conjunction with triggered AI?
