Unit collision size: works in editor but not in game?

Seeing how some of my bigger ships in the map I'm making were seriously colliding, I dramatically increased their collision size. It seemed to have no effect at all, untill I noticed, when moving preplaced units around in the map editor, that the collision size indeed was larger there; however, it remained to be apparent only in the editor, while ingame, the collision was still small and the biggest ships could still go through narrow terrain passages I couldn't possibly fit them into in the editor. Soooo... how do I fix this?

do the ships have any special abilities, like, ghost? or locust?

Nope. They are normal units (well, heroes actually). Their movement type is "float", but I doubt that is to blame (am going to try with normal movement anyway, but I really doubt this is it.)

Max collision size is capped at 258 or something. It can be changed in the gameplay constants menu IIRC, but I don't know if that will haev any effect.

Well, the problem is that 256 is actually one of the largest collision sizes I have (only one unit has greater than that), and still, in-game, units with collision sizes less than 256 can get far closer than I can place them in the editor.

you edited the worng thing...you need to edit the scaling value to make them bigger...and collision size is not it at all...try editing scaling value...if it dont work you world editor got some bugs in it...

Nope, you didn't understand what I want.

I know what scaling value does, but that's not the thing I am talking about here.

I'm talking about the physical size of the units; how close they can get to one another before they collide; through how narrow terrain gaps they can still move.

In my case, in the editor, I can't place the largest ship between two cliffs because they are too close together. Ingame, on the other hand, the ship (that I place somewhere outside of that area in the editor) can easily maneuver between those two cliffs, like it's collision size was the same as the collision of a smaller ship.

Have you tried to change:

Art - Required Animation Names - Attachments:
Medium / Large?


Or maybe Stats - Unit Classification:
Giant?

Not sure if any of these work, just tossing out ideas.
