hello, i'm trying to make a tower defence map (for my own enjoyment) and i've got the unit based buildings to turn, but since i used an existsing building template, the height at which the missle start at is off, how do you change this?

I don't know if you can do that, but if you wanna do that, make it so the player makes the building. Make it the model you want. After that, replace it with a unit that has walk speed 0 and movement as none. Then its just like a building, cept it doesn't have that base stone thing.

You sure you can't edit the launchZ value for a given unit by adding it to UnitMetaData.slk?

Haven't tried it, just noticed.

Care.

:: Beep:: Wrog scio, your the weakest link , goodbye (a pit opens below scio and he tumbles in) :ggani: :ggani: :ggani:

you can add the unitui.slk file (or one of the slk files which contain that field launch Z) to the map without fear of desync. Just base your unit off a particular unit that is, considered to your view, useless, give it ranged attack and of course the fixed launchZ value. This will cause the unit that youve modded be able to use the your unitui.slk (or other slk) launchz value (if you import it in the map right)
