Help with Unholy Aura

i want to make a life regen passive for my hero, so i chose unholy aura and did the following

Level 1 - Life Regeneration Increase (%) 0.01
Level 2 - Life Regeneration Increase (%) 0.02
Level 3 - Life Regeneration Increase (%) 0.03
Level 1 - Percentage Bonus TRUE
Level 2 - Percentage Bonus TRUE
Level 3 - Percentage Bonus TRUE

but in actual game the regen rate is far greater, and i cant figure out the problem. anyone know how can i make a regen passive that's %based and gives better effect if u have more strength. i dont want set value of 1/2/3 hp/sec.

There's also an ability called Life Regeneration Aura; I think it might be an item ability, or perhaps hidden somewhere in the Neutral section. If Unholy Aura is screwed up somehow, that might still work for your needs.

yes, but thats not an item ability... it is the ability that the fountain of life has, but regardless i second panto's notion

How are you measuring the effect of the Unholy Aura?

1% is barely noticable.

A high Strength hero might have 4 hp per second regen by default.
With your aura at lvl 1 it would take 25 seconds to regen an extra hp than normal (101 hp instead of 100)

Are you sure you just arnt misinterpreting the heros natural regen as a the "fast regen"?

Errr 1% is quite noticeable. I think it's 1% of unit health per second. This is in addition to the unit's built in HP regen (0.25hp per sec for most humans, 2hp a sec for undead on blight by default).

On a human unit with 400 hp thats 4.25hp per sec with a regen time from 1 hp to full in almost 94 seconds. At WC3 default settings (0.25 hp per sec) that same unit would take 1600 seconds. So you see, giving the units a 1% hp regen bonus cuts regen time to about 6% of the original time required.

The effect of unholy aura is not far greater than you expected, its perfectly accurate. How to reduce the percentage effect to something smaller than 1%? I don't know.

BTW the default fountain of life health regen bonus is 1% and we all know that the fountain of life regenerates life pretty damn fast.

Pity you are entrily incorrect th15.

Unholy aura is set to 0.5 in the editor at level one. You think that means 0.5%?

HOWEVER

The movement bonus is set at 0.1. Guess you think that means it provides a one-tenth of a percent increase....

If it was 0.5% regen a ghoul would regen 4 hp per second on blight.

If you had thought about this, its clear in WC ladder that this does not occur.

Because, and heres the fun part, Unholy aura and the Fountain of Life work in totally different ways!

... Of course I'm wrong from your point of view, you're not reading.

Unholy aura by default is an absolute bonus to hp regen. The default unholy aura adds 0.5 hp per second.

Al3ks has said that he's changed unholy aura to be a relative bonus. There's a field to change the unholy aura effect to one based on percentage.

I am incorrect, i was under the belief that the % field in Unholy Aura would be a % increase in the regen rate (to fit the ethos of the ability) not a healing aura.

I'll give you a point of rep th15 to compensate for your incovenience.
