Yeah, so it's nothing new. Most people may know how to have custom backround, buttons and such, but for those of you who don't, here ya' go. NOTE - Most of the .blp(s) can be added directly to maps, but some (i.e. loading screens) can not unless you import them into the War3.mpq or patch.mpq What You Need: MPQ Viewer (If you don't know the file/folder names) WINMPQ (I like using this one) Anything to create/modify an image. Use the mpq viewer to look/extract the files and names that you need to see. If you have the tools to modify a blp and edit it, you can change the existing buttons a little or you can start from scratch. If you do start a brand new one, make sure that is about the same as the size that you're replacing. Once you're ready save it in the folder with WINMPQ with the name of the object that you're replacing (i.e. human-options-menu-background.blp) Now open WINMPQ and then open the .mpq or map that you wnat to import it into. Click add and select the file. NOTE - Don't forget to add the fields in front of the file name. (i.e. UI\Widgets\EscMenu\Human\) Now that it's added make sure that it is correctly spelt and ready. (i.e. UI\Widgets\EscMenu\Human\human-options-menu-background.blp) Exit WINMPQ and now it's done! Yay! Wasn't that hard. [edit] Added an actual example that will work :) [EDIT 2] Added color to filenames (Yah, I was bored) |
