How would i go about making a unit that is visible to all players except its owner? Really, i just need to make a unit that is visible to only the player's ally's but not its owner. Is it possible? I have a back up plan but its kinda cheesy... |

Can't think of any way to do it. Probably your cheesy backup plan could work, they always do. Salutions® |

Only way I can think of is making the unit have no model, then create another unit at the position of the invisible unit for a neutral player; the only purpose of this new unit is to make the other unit visible to other players. That's why this unit should have invisibility and all other players should have true sight... this method could only work for one player, though (you couldn't make it so that every player had a unit only his allies could see.) |

The above wont work, once a player can see a unit all his allies gain visability of that unit, including the orginal player (who we want to not be able to see it). EDIT: sorry, reread above post and realised he said that, ill leave this for clarities sake |

Meh oh well thx for trying. I guess ill have to just move the unit out of the player's field of view ( see cheesy aint it )Edit: I jsut thought of something but even if it works, it would lower the amount of allowed players by half...just make a new "dummy" player for each "player" player. lol that sounds weird but wouldnt it work to make a player that is in alliance with all other players other than its corresponding player and make the unit have perma invis? Prolly gonna try this soon. ~Harsha Gummadi~ |

I cant see any reason why that would not work. Would be very tidy too i would think. |
