Warcraft III May Be Low on BNet... but I believe it will be alive in the offline scene -- because of AMAI.

Everyone: Is it just me, or do have this feeling that World of Warcraft is eclipsing Warcraft III? Will this also mean the end of AMAI development? :(

Never. World of Warcraft is a different type of game.

@Strategy Master: Thanks, that's a relief. I like MMORPG's but I do not like the "pay per play" thing.

The thing about these "pay per play" MMORPG's is that they are designed to be played with other human players. E.g. I tried playing "Ragnarok Offline", and it's really boring. But kids in Internet Cafe's are crazed about it, PLUS, they have lots of time to walk to very LARGE AREAS.

Compare this with Diablo II, which is enjoyable even in Single Player mode, and it has a free online multiplayer mode.

@unrealz: I doubt that there will be another AI Engine project that will match the features, advances and evolution of AMAI. :)
