Guest | is there a Naga mod race out there? |

there are countless attempts and failures, but almost few completions. ive played some myself, cant tell you where, but they werent that good to begin with. its a disease. once a mod gets started, its destined to die, fail, or get booted from hosting. |

http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=68761 Is a recent (well, not exactly recent) naga project thread. You might want to check it out. |

There are no finished naga projects and I strongly doubt there will be. |

Sooner or later one will be finished, but I cannot guarentee the quality of it. |

True enough, I agree with it as well. But I'm sure someone will be crazy enough sooner or later to finish something like it :P Though nothing which is perfect or "too" accurate. |

it makes people wonder: why do people start mods in the first place? itll have a 90% chance of dieing.... |

well ppl usually start them cause they think they will make something really cool that every1 will like it and all, but once they find the problems on getting skinners and modellers is were they stop their projects instead of finishing them without art but with imagination and showing them, to ppl and if the project was really good ppl will join it but like no1 never tries it out and always wants the team before their succes. I actually work for a project, it is really good and was started by strategy master before i joined his project i saw the demo wc2 map i thought it was a nooby map like others but once i played it i saw that it wasn't a nooby map but almost a total convertion. After playing the map i post a comment if he was looking for help (during that time i didn't knew anything of modelling xept for somethings in mdl editing), well he told me he needed artists and i started as a skinner/mdler later i bought max 6 (educational ver ok, i didn't waste 3000$ but 39$) and met markus3238 who tought me the basics of modelling, the time passed and we progressed, we finished the oil system and i finished 5 models alrdy, .................(i'm bothered on writing the project history). well all i can tell you is that projects got owned cause they never show first what they are trying to do but they look non necessary things to do it. |

hmm don't really know looks really difficult to set global sequences, i need to also set its duration so thats what i don't really get it, but it is possible for gmax users to set global sequences; and about visibility and note track anims i will contact the profet and nicole_s about a solution. And finanlly TVertexesAnims shows to be the most difficult part since users needs to animate all the unwrap vertexes, making it the most difficult. |

the stuff i have trouble with is i cant unwrap, my anims dont show up in wc3v, and i have a crapload of trouble with MDLing. |
