All those of you who have played Battleships, you know what this map is about. You control a ship and buy turrets for it; the turrets then fire automatically at nearby targets. Yeah, I was so fascinated with the concept when I first played Battleships, I soon decided to do a similar map of my own; it could almost classify as a lame rip-off. But it isn't, because everything from the basic concept up I have done myself, so, it's a good rip-off. :)

To those of you who dislike Battleships, let me say the following: sure, the map concept requires little more from the players than clicking where they want their ship to go. But that really isn't the whole point of the map. The point is in strategy and teamplay. You have to secure resources on the map for your team, get appropriate weapons and ships to counter the enemy and use the global strategic situation to your advantage.

At the moment, I have the terrain essentially laid out, the turret system working, about two-thirds of the weapons and nearly all ships implemented and a functional computer army control that attempts to rescue damaged ships from combat.

What I'm working on at the moment (and looking for your ideas) is getting ideas for magical weapons and thinking about how to balance the armies with the heores (the armies were designed to match the stronger ships and now that I'm testing them against the weaker heroes and turrets, they are too powerful)
