I am having a lot of conflicts in my map with hero abilities/items that deal with attacks. For example, I have a hero that grants "item attack corruption bonus" and an item that grants "item attack frost bonus". Whenever these two are combined in any sort of matter (either with items, or abilites) one always cancels the other out. I have tried EVERYTHING. How can I get them both to work at the same time? |

Orb and Arrow effects don't stack with each other, whatsoever. Never have. There's a method to determine which one is going to be in effect (although I don't remember it), but there's no way to make multiples work. Now, in your particular case, you could possibly use a Frost Attack ability, from the Undead Nerubian Tower, and that *might* stack with other attacks, but I suspect that it won't. |

It wont, Frost Attack is a Passive Orb styled ability. They never stack, theres no way to make them stack, its impossible. Sorry. With which one will overpower the other, its quite simple. Whichever item is closest to the number 1 item slot (top left) will overpower any others. Item Orb or Arrow abilities will always overpower ones that the hero has (if my hero has an orb of fire and the frost attack ability, the orb of fire will always be the effect. No matter where i put it.) I'm not sure if thats correct, but thats whats worked for me. Sorry you cant stack them. The following will not stack: Orb of Anything Black Arrow Poison Arrows Searing Arrows Envenomed\Poisoned Weapons of any description Frost Attack Freezing Breath Incinerate Mask of Death I probably missed a couple, but those are the ones i can remember off the top of my head. |

As I suspected, always worth a shot to ask around though. Ah, my map will be a little less fun now. |

Guest | Couldn't you add a trigger that if a character has a certain skill, its attack does the specific effect? |

You could trigger it, but the resulting lag (twice the number of units attacking.) especially in a TD, wouldnt be worth it. Also it would be possible to "Fool" the system into thinking it attacked when it didnt. |

if it can't stack... why don't you alternate one on and off, making each one of them spells that could be cast alternately |

Cause not all of them can be set to autocast? Most of them are passive and always passive. |

Possible work-around: Base an ability off of Bear form/ Storm Crow form. Give one form poison, the other frost. |

Ah yes, morph spells. I've had great fun with morph spells. Sometimes you can add the extra abilities, sometimes they screw up. Also if you use morph spells on buildings, they have a nasty tendancy to "migrate" around the map. |
