I've done a run-down of the tutorials section for help with this, but seemingly there's nothing on it. I'm very acquainted to the WE, but not half as much to the Import Manager. I need help importing a model to my map (A Teleport model by killst4r, http://www.wc3sear.ch/index.php?p=Models&ID=1874&sid=). Yes, I have read the 'Help with importing models' in that page, but I just don't understand it, since there is no path that's specified. Please give me a hand with this. Evil-Tormenter |

I think the path doesnt matter, you have to put every file in the same directry, then you can use it in WE |

That's exactly what I'm having trouble with. I tried doing: units\human\Templeteleportsystem\Templeteleportsystem.mdl, and units\human\Templeteleportsystem\Templeteleportsystem.blp, but when I shut down the WE and open it again, only that green cube shows up. Could you be more specific on how to put every file in the same directory? |

I think you might have to copy that into your warcraft III directory to see the model in WE(for example C:\warcraft III\units\human\...) and import it in import manager to see it when you start warcraft and play your map. |

Naw, you don't have to copy them into the Warcraft 3 directory anymore, not since RoC. Maybe you need to type .mdx instead of .mdl. Otherwise, I'd have to take some time with the WE and your model to see what the path is, and I don't have WE accessible now. If you haven't figured it out by later I'll give it another go. |

Guest | lol ive had this trouble b4. now in the file section of that page, there says number of skins. you have to change the image files to that but not the model files aka .mdx .mdl. so the paths to the model files are the same but the blp files are changed as specified. after you got that, you should have no troubles at all. btw:you only have to change the files listed in green writing. oh and if you need to change the path, click a file 2 times fast and check use costom path to change it. |
