Guest | Ok so, here's what I'm doing. I've got a skin for an orc shaman I want to use in my map, but I also want to use the normal orc shaman skin in the map also, so I can't replace the normal shaman skin. So I made another model that is an exact copy of the normal shaman except that it has my skin on it (in case you were wondering I followed Draco's Tutorial - Using more than one skin on the "same model" (Importing a copy model) thread). But for some reson when I imported it it didn't show up in the game. Anybody got any ideas why it won't? And don't call me a stupid n00b, I already know that... Thanks all |

Guest | Ok here's the file for the model I only did what the tutorial thing said so really I have no idea what I'm doing, this is my first model import, but you have to start somewhere... I know I saved before I tested, so that can't be the problem. |

it must be an importing problem, besure that importing at we you setted correct path of the texture (in your case: Textures\StormEarthFireShaman.blp) and to save your map with the model, then close World Editor, restart WE and open your map. |

In recent times ive been having trouble importing models aswell. I used to import them all the time, and the usually work, but lately they having been showing up in the W/E. Ive changed the paths and all that and got both the .mdx and .blp imported aswell, and saved, closed W/E, then re-opened, but still nothing. Im gonna add the .mdx and .blp and .mdl so people can try and se if it works for them. Its just a basic fence.....and yes il get round to getting a new texture. umm, on my computer the file sizes are a lot bigger than when they have been uploaded...is that normal? |
