Guest | sorry if tyhis is really nooby but it wont work! when i raise terrain it raises as a cliff, and u cannot use plateau on it, ive read somewhere ur just ment to raise terrain and uncheck the cliff thing, but whenever i uncheck cliff it doesnt raise at all cannot u take a screenshot of what tool ur using to riase terrain? thanks EDIT : also could someone plz tell me how to rotate a doodad? i have a model of a building i want to put in my map, but i want it rotated to a different side, is there anyway of doin this in the editor? or would i have to convert it to obj file, rotate it, then convert it somehow back to mdx? |

u dont use raise CLIFF tool, u use raise TERRAIN tool............ rotation: hold ctrl and click, if it has odd (like not 4x4, or 8x8) pathing, set it to none. |

If you want a more perfect rotation: just doulbeclick the doodad and set its rotation value. |

Guest | You can do it like this: 1. For the doodad, set the Max Roll Angle at 10.00 or something. 2. Make a very steep cliff and place the tree (or other doodad on it). It will roll with the terrain (instead of having a half part flying over it, or having a half part inside it). 3. Select the tree and lower it with ctrl-page down until it is on the ground. 4. Make the raised terrain flat again. The tree is lying on the ground. |

Are you sure that works? Open the map again, if you saved it, please. Last time I did that (long time ago), I saved the map, but then when I opened it again, it reverted to it's old roll and height. |

Guest | Hmm you are right. I didnt check that. It's just a graphical bug in the editor it seems. |

well, not really a bug, seeing there is a "button" in the menu that resets all roll angles. |
