get warcraft 3 map utilities its easy way to make loading screens, but one thing u must do is when u save ur image make sure its 24 bit quality, and i think it needs alphamapping im not sure ^_^ |

Guest | Alright, heres how it works: 1: Create your entire loading screen as a 1024 x 768 OR 800 x 600 (width x height). 2: Divide it into 4 sections: Bottom Left (512 x 256), Bottom Right (512 x 256), Top Left (512 x 512) and Top Right (512 x 512). 3: Convert all 4 sections into .blp format (by using WC3 Image Extractor or WC3 Viewer). If the .blp doesn;t swork by the end of this, repeat the steps using .tga instead of .blp. 4: Open up the Import Manager. Import all four sections, and give them a custom path. "LoadingScreen**.blp" where the ** denotes the name of the section: either BL, BR, TL, or TR. 5: Import the LoadingScreen.mdx file, attached here. 6: Go to the drop down menu Scenario, and select Map Loading Screen. Where it asks what loading screen you want to use, select LoadingScreen.mdx, the imported file. This looks complicated at first, but its simple once you go one time through. Have fun! |

Absolutely don't use TGAs. They increase the file size hugely. |

Guest | Yeah, I know. But they're a last resort should the .blp not work. It didn't once for me, so I was forced to use .tga. |

Guest | Cool. I'll keep that in mind for the next loading screen. |
