Hi, I just wanna hear if you got any probelm with oversize maps like 480-480 maps (Only possible using WE Unlimited ) Before saying that I shouldn't make such a big map, I will tell you why I do it...

Me and some friends are making a WoW map and we would like to use kinda of the real terrain... But as you know it is huge (one of the reason I wanna play WoW..).

So thats why I wanna make the map huge...

Another thing is PvP, you think people would understand "xxxxxx is under attack" and a blink on the map or what should i do?

Could need some help here... Thanks

Maybe it will lag on older computers or the file size will be too high.

People shouldn't have any problem recognizing what's going on if you ping the map and give them a message.

WoW maps for Warcraft 3 get started all the time. It's really a ridiculous idea. Just because there's a good game out there, doesn't mean it needs to be made for Warcraft 3. As far as rpg's are concerned, Warcraft's is a fairly limited engine. You're asking to take a lot of work onto yourself for a map that will be just like a hundred other maps about another game.

Fact of the matter is, people who want to play WoW are shelling out the cash. And those who aren't shelling out aren't going to be satisfied by a cheap War3 remake.

Other than:

a) Multiplayer will be impossible without nicking Nasa's computers.
b) Blight gets screwed.
c) 4MB limit on map sizes.

If it's for SP, why not have linked maps???

Go buy WoW.

I already got WC3... Unlimited requires it to almost everything...

About the map size I am not worried but about all the WoW map making I can see your point and im doubting on this map.. Even through we are using the original abilities
