The escaping peasent

normally units automaticly attack a enemy when he is near
but well those building units dont
How to change it
and hwo to make them not run away when attacked?

You could do as in snipers. There they have made the players allied.

oh come on
i dont want to use anything too complicated
im making a strange map cant say exaqctly what and all
just some simple pathetic unit editing thing to make workers automaticly attack enemy units

I think the workers don't attack enemies because they have a calssification set to "worker". However, if a unit doesn't have that classification, I'm not sure it can build structures...

Units always run when they are attacked by someone they can't attack back. Footmen run away from a chimaera because they can't hit air, Peasants run away from all units because they are not allowed to attack on their own. You can fix this by seting the "can flee" field in the object editor to flase, but that doesn't solve the problem: peasants still won't automatically attack, they just won't run away when attacked by someone they can't attack back (which will still be everyone).

if you think that is complicated i have no idea how you could even imagine to ever even try to make a map, seriously man.... i have no idea what it meant or how it would fix the problem but you should be able to do it,

i would do the unit classification change, like he said, not sure if the peasants could be able to make buidlings then. but that would be the most logical way

another way of doing it ^^
why just don't make a new unit based on the footman, and then edit all the stuff so it looks like the peasant? It is so easy that anyone with warcraft3 editor and a half-good english can do it.

NO it has to be the same unit
so that warcraft patches updates
will really update the unit

well, warcraft doesn't update THAT often... but i see your point, couse in some old tower wars maps, you can't ugrade your monster house couse of a new update (the monster house was based on a town hall, and in the update the backpack ability was added)...

hmm, i've tested the most now, and I can't find anyway, if you don't wan't do make some triggers :/

in a new update ill fix it
