I'm making a semi-footman frenzy style map for lack of a better idea, but anyway. I was trying to think of something that would make the map unique and I was thinking about how you research stuff for the footies and i realised it's really a horrible system, so i was just fiddling around and i thought what if each day(30 seconds) you got a certain amount of 'research points' which you allocate any way you'd like into 4 partitions, weapons, armor, training, or new technology. After each day the amount you've allocated into one of those will dump into your total and when your total reaches a certain point you get that upgrade. This system allows for a lot of strategy since some people will go for an all out on the weapons or divide it up equally between them all. Do you think this is a good system? Why? Should i put it in a different kind of map? |

people who mod footmen wars maps are looking for an easy quick way to fame on bnet, i mean i bet u cant round up 10 people on bnet and tell me who the original creator of footmen wars was? Its a terrible thing to mod, theres a footment wars for every word in the dictionary...Thats my opinion And for this reason i say go create a differenet map all together, dont live by any rules its YOUR map do what you like....and if people tell you thats not right, tell them they can go stick it in the jacksy, as its ALL YOURS |

What battle.net patrons want is mindless carnage with little to no thought involved. However if you were to get that detailed, you would need to make sure the entire map follows suit. Your goal of course being to attract the more civil players, however you will lose players that won't spend a few moments learning how to play. |
