Advanced Battle System

Im currently on the making of a new battle system and are going to release it at www.wc3sear.ch when it is done. Here im gonna post a bit info about it!

Features

In-battle:
Controll around using the arrow keys, the mouse is disabled, many cool features and camera angles, chat dialogs can be used under battle (by two enemies or whatever you want). Highly intelligent enemies and much more.

Multiboard:
Controll around with the arrow keys, there are seven options too choose from. And there will be showing every unit in game and their health, their mana and their experience.

Before Battle:
When you meet upon your enemy every unit will be standing still, then you can select 5 units you want to use in battle, after the units is selected the battling can start.

Item-Bag:
There is an item-bag following you, the items you put in this bag will be able to be used in battle, of course items like claw of attack and others cant be used.

Attack:
This will attack the players, with only one hit and a diceroll system that will decide if he hit or not, and when he hits the damage that has been dealth will show over screen as a floating text,

Defend:
When this is used the unit who is using it will be added bonus armor, i will make a system that we take the health he has and divides that on 99% and the health he has left from that will be added to armor. So if a unit has 100 health, he will get +1 armor.

Cast Spell:
When this is selected the the unit who uses it will be able to cast their spells, there is a catch with this to, under battle mana wont be regenerated, so spell casting is limited.

Summon:
Ever seen a summon spell? well thats kind of a cinematic spell. Where great creatures will be rised and some special effects are added, only one summon can be used during battle!

Use Item:
When this is used there will be popping up a dialog, names of the dialog buttons depends on what items the item bag is carrying, and there will be only made names if the item is a type of charged

Flee:
Is the battle to hot for you? why dont you escape using this feature? But theres a dice roll wich decides if you are allowed to flee or what you are, and theres a very little chance of escaping the battle.

Abilities:
Heres just an example of an ability in use, when this is selected then a new multiboard shows with the abilitys that certain unit can use, here i use poison blade for footmen as example. Poison blade when this is selected and a unit is attack with poison blade then the unit will be dealt damage and will be affected by poison. Poison lasts in three rounds and will deal a certain amount of damage each round to the effected unit. Poison can be removed before three rounds if antidote is used on unit.

Camera:
Camera angles is neat in such a system, you can have different angles for every battle, and you can change it around the battle court how ever you want to!

Computers:
In such a system we can make the computer players and creeps highly intelligents, such as when an allied unit has 50 hp left then use heal on that unit when its the healers turn, and they can cast spells depending on a dice rolling system. They can defend and attack decided with a dice rolling system and much more.

After Battle:
After a battle all hit points, mana and everything (except the items used in battle) will be restored.

What i need:
I need two more advanced triggerers so we can get our brains togheter and figure out of everything (if bugs occure and were stuck somewhere and more) And im pretty sure i will be needing someone good with JASS too.

Hero RPG:
Yes! i do know that this campaing have done such a system before, but they have never released it and they have protected there map, so i wanna be friendly and hand it to you!

Other Systems Planned:
Thoose who will help me in this system i hope want to help in other great system i have planned in feature to. Theres actually many things i have planned. For now there is two systems i have in mind, so the faster we get this project of the feet and completed the sooner people will enjoy a new system.

Mmmm it seems much final fantasy style :D

I suggest you to post your thread on Campaign/Team Discussion Forum so you can gather some mappers!

ah thanks for info, and it is pretty much final fantasy style. But with some twists that FF doesnt have. And hey, why cant we play FF on warcraft? :O

:) I might try to get hosted somewhere, so my systems in the future will be more suportive and faster built since maybe more help that way too, ill get back to you!

Yeah i found that out, but anyways my system will be more advanced and more features (as you might see by what i have wrote). I will include many items, many summon spells and more. I have about 4 features that his battle system has, and i dont use ATB, i use turns.
So its not the same, absolutely not the same.

is it like ff tactics style? if it is, i recommend you also use a movement peak.

for example, if a unit is moved 500 pixels (is it pixel???) from his point of origin, he is paused and ends his turn.

No its not like that, its like FFX, FFVII FFIX and so on..... but not FFX-2
