Guest | I need something to compress my map, into a zip file, I have WinZIP, and WinRAR, I don't know how to zip files, can anyone help me? I want to compress a 304kb Warcraft 3 Expansion map into at max 200kb, thanks! |

right click on your desktop and click, "new" and then "compressed file" or something... (its a picture like a normal folder but has a zipper on it's side. the you copy and paste your map in there and rename the folder to what ever you want it to be... and there you go, you have win-zipped a map. NOTE: This is Windows XP Guide, Im not to sure in regards to 98 etc. |

Your idea is flawed in the first place, wc3 maps are basically already a very advanced kinda zip file, so there isn't much more you can do to shrink them. Srry :\ |

they are compressed MPQ archives, they can be compressed further... but not compressed but more "cleaned up" in a sense in which all the useless files are removed. Then Additionally you could winzip it... the payout might be small, it may be large... check out vexorian's map opitmiser.. (link is in his sig, if you search his name) |
