Kiba's Story Story: Several hundred years ago... In a time of darkness and war... The world was split into several kingdoms... And the rulers of these empires, out of greed and selflessness, waged war against each other... A war where only the poor and the miserable suffered... However, one day, a strange figure appeared, a man from a distant land... He called himself Aial, and he had incredible powers... Aial, upon watching the misery of the people and upon seeing the sins of the rulers grew rancorous and raging... Slowly, the poor mage fell into madness and despair... And, encouraged by his growing folly, Aial decided he would use his powers to cleanse the world... The world he saw as evil and foul... Legends say that, one night, Aial cast a spell... A powerful, forbidden spell...a spell which tore his soul apart, however released a powerful darkness... A darkness which fed on evil and corruption, and that took bliss in destruction and misery... The ultimate evil had been unleashed...Aial's punishment to the human kind, a beast that consumed the sins of the people and delivered it twicefold in the form of destruction... At last interrupting their conflict, the kings turned to watch the power of the demonic creature that had been released unto their world... And, for once in millenia, they set their selflessness aside and fought for the common good... However, their armies were laid waste to, and the attacks just strengthened the fiend... And when all hope seemed lost, a young man appeared... A young warrior who took arms against the beast on his own... However, after fighting for several hours, he too, was on the verge of defeat... But, moments before his death, the man took the last measures to save his world...as his last breath approached, he opened a rift with strange magic, and sealed the beast inside, before falling dead to the ground. The creature was cast away...for now...however, it's powers still remained...and when war once again arrived, and the land was once again infected by the plague of sin, greed, and selflessness, the rift would weaken, and the creature's release would be at hand to any who knew how to open the rift once again... 8,000 years later... The two greatest kingdoms of the land, Ithiel and Raut, have began a war...the son of the ruler of Raut, Menes, has been brutally killed, and, with his blood, the royal seal of Ithiel had been smudged across the walls of the castle... You are Kiba, one of the 25 guardian knights that serve the ruler of Ithiel, Euan. The tides of war have reached you, and, even though the king has fervently discarded the accusations, the king of Raut still accuses your king of the crime. You, however, have not been allocated to one of the recently established war-camps, but to the northern province of Garia. To the north of the kingdom of Raut, in the Ekki Wastelands, it seems a new kingdom has risen, led by a man known only as 'Sangor'. It seems that the armies under Sangor's lead are incredibly powerful, having wiped out most of the tribes of wildmen that lived in the Wastelands. Although the king is worried with the war against Raut, he is also worried that Sangor will attempt to attack and conquer his kingdom while he is busy with the on-going battle. You are thus ordered to watch over the border for any attacks... And, at the topmost room of his palace, Sangor sits in a dull stone throne, a large book open on his lap... A book that depicts a tale most forgotten, and a banished evil that can be retrieved... To open the rift, the land must once again have blood spilled on it's earth, hatred and rage present in the hearts of many... And then the darkness will be revealed. 'The first pawn has been moved,' Sangor muses, and shuts the book with a wicked smile sketched across his lips... Features: In this campaing of finding Sangor there will be a turn-based battle system, summonings, all new spells, all new items, many new weapons and best of all, having a good time! Be creative. Try to think by yourself what to say more about it. Even though I usually chewed it out for people to tell them what to say, I have a limit as well. The FAQ's (or stickies, whichever you prefer to call them) out here in the Team Gathering forum often prove to be very useful when starting a project. Even though I have yet to ask to update them (if necessary) they are still very accurate. Regarding the Screen Shots, well, I want to say they look empty, but that isn't true. The terrain looks extremely flat though and there is a lack of variation in tiles. Other than that, it looks fine. A big lack of doodads in the front part of the first screen shot though... the main problem remains a lack of variation of tiles. Oh man! Downloading and starting a map... I don't wanna! -Fladian |

Well i know the first one looks empty, that is because of its WIP, but the second one is the final... And a bit more one story, well... You follow kiba as he travels trough a land of sorrow, Sangor has raised evil in a way noone has ever seen before, there are only some places wich is not affected by the evil, yet. Rumors have spread that Sangor is out to get the king, while Kiba is in the city where the king lives, evil appaers. As the evil walks toward Kiba a bright light shines up over the sky, and when the light dissapears the evil is gone. Noone knows why, but later in the story you will find out that its Kiba who is the "Chosen one", to defeat Sangor he travels to an old man, only this man knows the secret of the "Chosen one" and teaches him how to use his powers. But not all evil can be killed by theese powers, only damaging them, and its then "Kiba" and his friends will have a hard time defeating evil powers. So is this better? |

want me to be honest? i think its still cliché, sorry. the chosen one and the wise man who knows the secrets on it and the evil stuff, its been done before, lots of times. |
| 12-30-2004, 09:14 PM | #11 |
wonna know why its been done so many times? because its that kind of stories people likes in RPG's..... Final fantasy... its all cliche... but i think its the fucking greatest rpg ever made! Its like coke, uve tasted it 100 times before, but u just godda have more! |
