Over the last few days I've added about 9 custom abilities to my map - however now it takes FOREVER to load. Anyone experienced something like this? Any fixes? |

Loading times reflect on: -The size of ur map -Number of units from the exact start -Number of doodads and destructibles -Number of triggers and actions from the first 2 seconds of the game initlisation... I came up with this way but it takes age...about 30 seconds into the game i spawn alll my desctrucribles and units...some maps this is almost impossible and a daunting task. But if u can do it, it cuts down loading time. |

well its funny because I didn't add any things you have described here (besides a small file size difference) by adding custom abilities. And it increased DRAMATICALLY in load time, like by 3 MINUTES. But you're saying the load time doesn't depend on my 250 custom abilities? |

If they say that, they are lying. One of the single largest causes of an increase in load time is custom object data, especially multi-level abilities. |

Yeah - custom abilities are the KEY factor, and are about 1/4th up on the loading bar. While other stuff plays a factor as well, simply by deleting 10 abilities I'm looking at 30 second faster load time. Thanks everybody. |
